Welcome back!

Due to the week off because of the weather and then winter vacation I decided to postpone the Progressive Era test to Thursday.

So today we began the last unit of this semester, Imperialism. Due dates are as follows:

C Level- January 14th and no oral defenses
B Level- January 21st
A Level- January 26th

All late work is due by 3:3o p.m. on January 22nd.

The district has decided to extend 1st semester by a week so finals will now be January 27th-30th. 5th and 6th period's final will be the 29th and 8th period's will be the 30th.

On the day of our final we will have a notebook check. The final exam will cover the entire semester with an emphasis on Imperialism.

Joseph Stalin, Benito Mussolini, Adolf Hitler, and Francisco Franco.

· Take notes on all four.

· Include nicknames and why they earned the nickname(s), countries they are associated with, how they treat people, what do they stand for, what are their goals, anything they have written, the kind of government they have set up or wish to set up, results of things they have done, basically everything you can about them.

· You are to become an expert on these three. Use pages 568 to 574.

At the beginning of next class you may use your notes on a quiz over them.

The Human Toll- Images of the Great Depression: looked at pictures of the Dust Bowl, Hoovervilles, and took some notes about the Bonus Army and the Effects of the Great Depression on various social groups.
Activity: What Should be done? Turned in worksheet. See me to get it.
