Finals Week

  1. Took Final Exam.
  2. Notebook Check- worth 60 points!

  • 2nd Semester starts on Monday and it is a B day. We'll do a new seating chart and start our next unit, World War I.
  • Monday is a clean slate for you and your grade. Everyone starts with an A, it's yours to keep!

  2. Activity- Imperialism Debate. Broke into two groups, research each side's position, shared, then took notes.
  3. Final Exam Review- looked up answer to assigned question and shared.
  4. Studied for final and turned in A level task.

  • You can use a 3x5 notecard on the final. All information must be handwritten.
  • Your A level task was due today. No exceptions.
  • There will be a notebook check the day of the final. Make sure you bring it with you because you won't be allowed into the halls during class time.

Wednesday, January 21st

  2. Notes- A New Foreign Policy
  3. Handed out study guide for final exam- there is a link in last Friday's post
  4. Worked on levels tasks- B level due today.

  • Remember you have until 3:30 p.m. tomorrow to turn in any missing work from this 6 week grading period. Any thing from the Progressive Era or Imperialism packets. The only assignment you can turn in on Monday is your A level from this unit. If you have questions or concerns about this please talk to me ASAP.
  • Final Exams will start on Tuesday. Each period will be 90 minutes long. During finals you are not allowed to leave the room so make sure you are ready to be in the classroom for that long. Bring extra work to do, a book to read, etc.
  • On Monday we will spend time talking about the final and reviewing the material.

Remember all work from this 6 week grading period is due by 3:30 p.m. on Thursday the 22nd. The only assignment accepted after that deadline is your A level task from the Imperialism unit.

  2. Worked on 'C' level tasks for Imperialism unit.

Remember the new due dates are:
  • C level- January 14th
  • B level- January 21st
  • A level- January 26th

All missing work from this 6 week grading period is due by 3:30 p.m. Thursday January 22nd- no exceptions! Only work from this grading period will be accepted.

Final Exam will be January 29th for 5th and 6th periods and January 30th for 8th period.

Tuesday, January 6th

Welcome back!

Due to the week off because of the weather and then winter vacation I decided to postpone the Progressive Era test to Thursday.

So today we began the last unit of this semester, Imperialism. Due dates are as follows:
  • C Level- January 14th and no oral defenses
  • B Level- January 21st
  • A Level- January 26th

All late work is due by 3:3o p.m. on January 22nd.

The district has decided to extend 1st semester by a week so finals will now be January 27th-30th. 5th and 6th period's final will be the 29th and 8th period's will be the 30th.

On the day of our final we will have a notebook check. The final exam will cover the entire semester with an emphasis on Imperialism.
