3. Activity- Populism- see me to get the worksheet, we worked on individually, then with a partner, and finally discussed it as a class. We didn't turn it in but it will be part of your notebook grade this 6 weeks.
4. Discussed the Industrial Revolution test that you will be having on Monday. I handed out the study guide and gave everyone a 3X5 notecard to use on the test. You can use both sides of the notecard but everything on it must be handwritten. You will have the entire period to take the test. It will be a combination of matching, multiple choice, and short answer.
5. Worked on 'A' level task. Remember these are due on Monday.

**Remember parent conferences are Wednesday and Thursday. It is extra credit if your parents come and even more if you come with them.

**If you have not done your 'C' level oral defenses you need to arrange a time outside of class to make them up.

Wednesday, October 22nd

1. Daily Opener
2. Began reading Finn Reardon- we will be reading this everyday for about 15 minutes. When we finish the book there will be a quiz over it.
3. Read and discussed textbook pages 250-53 as a class.
4. Worked on 'B' level task and did oral defenses for those that needed them.

• All 'C' level tasks that have not been turned in yet are now late. Homework Club slips were given out today. Anyone who got a HC slip must get it signed by a parent by this Friday and turn in any of their missing work, otherwise they must start attending Homework Club on Friday (2:45-3:45 in the library) until the work is completed.
• Your 'B' level task is due Friday. No oral defense required.

Monday, October 20th

2. Worked on "C" level tasks. These are due TODAY!
3. Did oral defenses. These are due TODAY!

If you didn't get all of your oral defenses completed on time you can still complete them for partial credit. Some credit is better than none. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thursday, October 16th

3. Worked on "C" level tasks
4. Completed oral defenses

***Remember, all 'C' level tasks are due on Monday. You can only do 2 oral defenses a day so if you haven't done any yet, they will be late. Any 'C' level tasks turned in after Monday will be considered late.***

Tuesday, October 14th

3. Worked on 'C' level tasks
4. Did oral defenses- remember you have to defend your work when you turn it in.

All "C" level tasks are due by October 20th and you can only turn in TWO a day. If you have not done an oral defense yet then some of your 'C' level tasks are going to late.

Wednesday, October 8th

2. PowerPoint Lecture- The Growth of Big Business
3. Notebook Check- worth 20 points for having the 4 dividers you're supposed to have, checked your daily openers, and looked for papers to be organized. Bring it to me on Tuesday if you were gone.
4. Worked on 'C' Level tasks and started doing oral defenses. Remember I'll only accept up to 2 tasks a day so don't get behind.

Thursday, October 2nd

1. Daily Opener- Pretest on the Industrial Revolution (not graded but turned in for points)
2. Made a list of what you'd done today that used electricity and then in the next column wrote what you would have used 100 years ago.
3. Watched video "Living During the Industrial Revolution"- if you have problems accessing the video please let me know.
   
4. Began "Layered Learning" for Industrial Revolution unit.
