Tuesday, October 28th

  1. Daily Opener
  2. Read Finn Reardon
  3. Activity- Populism- see me to get the worksheet, we worked on individually, then with a partner, and finally discussed it as a class. We didn't turn it in but it will be part of your notebook grade this 6 weeks.
  4. Discussed the Industrial Revolution test that you will be having on Monday. I handed out the study guide and gave everyone a 3X5 notecard to use on the test. You can use both sides of the notecard but everything on it must be handwritten. You will have the entire period to take the test. It will be a combination of matching, multiple choice, and short answer.
  5. Worked on 'A' level task. Remember these are due on Monday.

**Remember parent conferences are Wednesday and Thursday. It is extra credit if your parents come and even more if you come with them.

Wednesday, October 22nd

  1. Daily Opener
  2. Began reading Finn Reardon- we will be reading this everyday for about 15 minutes. When we finish the book there will be a quiz over it.
  3. Read and discussed textbook pages 250-53 as a class.
  4. Worked on 'B' level task and did oral defenses for those that needed them.

  • All 'C' level tasks that have not been turned in yet are now late. Homework Club slips were given out today. Anyone who got a HC slip must get it signed by a parent by this Friday and turn in any of their missing work, otherwise they must start attending Homework Club on Friday (2:45-3:45 in the library) until the work is completed.
  • Your 'B' level task is due Friday. No oral defense required.

If you didn't get all of your oral defenses completed on time you can still complete them for partial credit. Some credit is better than none. Let me know if you have any questions.

  4. Worked on 'C' Level tasks and started doing oral defenses. Remember I'll only accept up to 2 tasks a day so don't get behind.

  3. Watched video "Living During the Industrial Revolution"- if you have problems accessing the video please let me know.
  4. Began "Layered Learning" for Industrial Revolution unit.
