1. Took notes on The Changes at the Turn of the Century.
2. Worked on Level One activities. Remember you can only turn in up to 2 a day.

Monday, November 26th

1. I was gone yesterday but you worked on the 1890-1910 packet of activities I gave last Monday.
2. You should know which activities you are going to complete for each level.
3. The sub recorded which activities you are planning on doing and if you had gotten your parent signature on the packet.
4. It's not too late to get a parent signature, I will still give you the 5 bonus points if you have it on Wednesday.
5. Remember we won't always have all class period to work on these activities so you need to be working on some of it at home.

Monday, November 19th

• Chapter 8 Quiz
• Finished and discussed immigration cartoons
• Started 1890-1910 Layered learning packet

I've decided to try something different in the hopes we will all be more successful. The tasks you choose from the 1890-1910 packet will be your assignments for the next unit. Remember to pick activities that will help you be the most successful. Look at the study guide for the test over the unit and match the topics to the activities in the packet.

There will still be lectures and in-class activities to help you learn the material but you are now responsible for your own learning.

Thursday, November 15th

1. Group Activity: Ideas for Reform Connections chart- we turned this in.
2. Notes on the Reactions to Immigration- get these from someone.
3. Activity/Assignment: Immigration Cartoons- see me to get worksheet and cartoons. We didn't finish it so we will be working on it and turning it in on Monday.

The 6 week grading period is over on Tuesday so if you've been absent you need to get all of your work turned in by 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Tuesday, November 13th

3. Assignment: Read Chapter 8 Section 4 and do questions 1-6 on page 315.

Don't forget the 6 weeks is over next week. All absent work needs to be turned in by this Friday, November 16th.

• Finished reading Finn Reardon- turned in 2 quotes from the book with name of person who said it and page number. There will be a quiz on Thursday and your character list is due Thursday.
• PPT- Immigration
• Group Activity- read interviews of immigrants, sharing information next class.

Friday, November 2nd

1. Read Finn Reardon- we're almost finished, there will be a quiz on Thursday the 8th so make sure your character list is updated and ready to turn in.
2. Discussed Wednesday night's homework.
3. PPT- Politics in the Gilded Age
4. Assignment- Chapter 8 Vocabulary, due Tuesday.
